The Pasadena Ponies showed that they will be a factor in the VYC this season after a fine outing against the Chiefs today. After jumping out to 4-1 lead, the Chiefs found their backs to the wall as the Ponies put up two additional scores.
Pasadena blessed with exceptional size and speed was effective using a Wildcat formation, and have a QB that looks like a young Darren McFadden running it. They also gave the Chiefs Defense their first look at slot formation, and have an extensive reverse package.
The Chiefs have had just 3 defensive practices prior to this match-up and will definitely use today's scrimmage to make functional adjustments going forward.
